Elevating an iconic studio’s proposition from photography to end-to-end content production

When you’re renowned as London’s go-to photography studio by the likes of Burberry and Gucci, how do you expand your offering to further captivate your clients and investors? That was the question facing the iconic Big Sky Studios when we partnered with it in summer 2023.

Besides its time-honoured brand- and product-photography prowess, Big Sky had introduced a suite of other in-house services over the years, like e-commerce, social media, film, CGI, and campaign activations. Essentially, it offered everything a marketing director could need to bring their brand content to life – in print, in person, and online.

Our mission was to raise awareness of its full array of services, and highlight the added quality, convenience, creativity, and talent on offer by taking its services end-to-end.

Enter ‘Big Sky Agency’.

What we did

Bringing together Big Sky’s management team, we distilled the value that an integrated in-house agency could bring to the studio’s clients. We worked together to pinpoint the unique points of difference that only Big Sky could offer over its competitors, including advanced technologies and leadership capabilities. And we identified means to powerfully amplify the Agency’s benefits, such as high-profile client case studies.

Outputs included a new integrated value proposition, brand messaging guidelines, a shareholder and investor presentation, updated copy for the Agency’s website, and a media launch story targeting top industry titles.

Following the success of the Big Sky Agency project, we were also commissioned to consult on the proposition and launch of Big Sky Events. The goal was to raise awareness of the studio’s portfolio of unique locations across London – such as the beautiful arches in Hoxton and Omega Place in King’s Cross – alongside its off-site services and unrivalled catering.

The results

Big Sky’s fully-fledged proposition caught the eye of The Production Factory in March 2024. It saw the potential of its full-service creative campus in central London – not just its iconic buildings, but the service synergies within its existing team.
