Student Intern

ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for university students who want to gain PR & Communications agency experience whilst they study.

Your mission will be to support the senior team and help research new ideas for the agency.  You will provide hands on support to the graduates running campaigns.  You will get to know the inner workings of a PR & communications agency before you start your career. It’s an internship not just for summer, it’s for your student life!

 Your Attributes

  • You are studying at university or college, looking to get into the communications industry.
  • You’re looking for part time work, but want something more career focused than working in a bar.
  • You’re intellectually curious and not afraid of asking questions.
  • You love writing and can turn your hand to different mediums – from social to long form.
  • You have good experience updating social media accounts and thinking about what types of content work for your audience and why.
  • You have great attention to detail.

Your Responsibilities

You will work directly with management and the wider team. Your role will include:

  • Researching new technology providers, tools and platforms to help us do our job better
  • Identifying co-working spaces for the team to gather
  • Working with our graduates to help build press lists and conduct influencer research
  • Helping out with reporting and analysis of our campaigns
  • Researching client competitor news and helping us stay on top of trends

Through a partnership with wellness coaching company WorkAthlete, we will provide you with tools and techniques to manage your own professional development and health and wellbeing, and ensure you can balance student life with a work-life experience.

Location: Remote

We launched 3Thinkrs during the pandemic so have worked remotely since day one. We’re committed to supporting employee wellbeing and performance in equal measure. We welcome applications from anywhere the UK. We do have pop-up offices in London, where you are welcome to come and join the team. Although, attendance is not required.

    Account Manager

    ROLE OVERVIEW

    We’re looking for an experienced b2b technology account manager ready to run a portfolio of awesome accounts.

    Your mission will be to take a role in running integrated campaigns and lead several of our forward-thinking clients to generate results that genuinely make a difference to their business.

    Your Attributes

    • You’ve had at least 6 months in the role as an account manager running several busy accounts
    • You thrive on digesting complex information and turning it into compelling content for different audiences.
    • You’ve had experience working with complex b2b technology clients.
    • You look outside of the b2b technology world for inspiration and love generating new ideas to try.
    • You love creating copy and can turn your hand to different mediums – from social to long form.
    • You have great attention to detail and can motivate your team to work to incredibly high standards
    • You are immersed in the news agenda and regularly think about how clients can become part of the breaking news, join, or lead a debate or react to an emerging issue.
    • You have a great network of media contacts and know how to tailor your pitches for the best results
    • You’ve worked across many integrated b2b campaigns in the past – across media, social and content creation.
    • You enjoy communicating with a wide range of influencers from media to analysts and are happy to hit the phones to gather feedback.
    • You’re intellectually curious and not afraid of asking questions.

     Your Responsibilities

    You will work directly with the management team across 4- 6 clients. Your role will include:

    • Confidently running day to day operations of client accounts and ensuring we hit monthly deliverables (with support from senior consultants).
    • Leading on press office planning and campaign development for clients.
    • Proactively crafting media angles and stories and adapting them to different targets
    • Expertly managing deadlines so that client work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
    • Managing reporting across accounts, including overseeing coverage trackers, drafting client updates, and building monthly and quarterly reports.
    • Motivating junior team members and leading by example.

      Graduate Account Executive

      ROLE OVERVIEW

      We’re looking for an enthusiastic, hungry to learn individual who would love to kickstart an exciting career in the communications industry.

      Your mission will be to help us deliver on our ambitious targets to create smart integrated campaigns that connect our clients to the audiences that matter to them.

      To do that, we will give you access to a wide-ranging training programme, in which you’ll learn about how to build, execute and measure truly integrated communications campaigns. Training will include: 

      • Analysing and conceptualising creative business strategies 
      • Aligning PR with a defined sales strategy  
      • Syncing business conversations to the news agenda, and how to react to trending topics 
      • Inking media stories that are aligned to key client messages   
      • Writing for different purposes from press releases to social copy to landing pages

      Responsibilities 

      You will work directly with the management team on a wide variety of tasks across an exciting mix of clients. Key responsibilities include:  

      • Creating media pitches that will resonate with the right journalists 
      • Researching and preparing press lists 
      • Drafting copy for a range of different audiences 
      • Monitoring the media and social agenda for breaking stories 
      • Building your understanding of the media landscape and becoming an advisor to the internal team 
      • Managing deadlines expertly  
      • Reporting and evaluating our work 

      A day in the life at 3THINKRS, although every day is different  

      • 9am: You’ll check through our daily media alerts to spot and track any social mentions or media coverage that has been published overnight for our clients.
      • 9.30am: It’s time for one of our weekly internal client meetings to check on progress, how we’re delivering against budget and discuss creative opportunities.
      • 10am: You sit down with a cup of tea for one of our weekly training sessions – today’s session is about how to successfully pitch broadcast media interviews. 
      • 11am: One of our clients has a new data report launching so you spend time pitching the news in over the phone to reporters, gathering their feedback and documenting opportunities.
      • 11.45am: You have a quick scan of Twitter and LinkedIn on behalf of one of our clients to see if there are any new influencers, we should be aware of. 
      • 12:15: It’s a lovely day and you’re working from home, so you take an hour to grab lunch and go on a walk. 
      • 1:15pm: One of the team secured an article placement in a key trade publication for a client. You spend a couple of hours researching and writing the first draft. 
      • 3.30pm: It’s time for one of our weekly client meetings, this week via Teams. You join the call with the rest of the team, provide updates on your activities and take notes for the actions.
      • 4pm: We’ve got a big media launch this week for one of our clients, so you spend time researching media targets and identifying opportunities.
      • 5pm: You draft a few social posts on behalf of one of our clients and send to the wider team to review.
      • 5.30pm: That’s it for the day!
