Fox Corp bets on podcasts with Red Seat Ventures acquisition
Fox Corp is doubling down on podcasts, acquiring Red Seat Ventures, a podcasting company that works with former Fox News presenters. The new audio venture is home to Tucker Carlson, Bill O’Reilly, and Megyn Kelly, who had a messy break-up with the channel. This deal is a strategic bet that podcasts — in both audio and video form — are on the upswing, and a response to the rise of independent talk show hosts.
